Q: How many showers can I have before the hot water runs out?
A: In most cases you could expect three and a half hours of hot water in the shower. The limit provides for 70 three-minute showers using the first supplied gas bottle, then you can connect up the second provided gas bottle for a further 70 three minute showers.
Q: We have a family of four people. How long will it take before we have emptied the two 9kg gas bottles that supply the hot water?
A: The gas supplies should provide one shower per day for each member of your family for a period of five weeks.
Q: How do I swap from one gas bottle to another?
A: Please refer to Specifications section.
Q: What happens if I damage the Unit?
A: If the customer damages the Unit, payment will be required for any repairs
Q: How do I clean the bathroom?
A: The Unit is very similar to any domestic bathroom. Normal cleaning methods apply.
Q: Is cleaning the bathroom a requirement?
A: Yes, you are required to clean the bathroom. Bathrooms 4 hire delivers the bathroom sanitised and clean. This standard is expected to be maintained before the bathroom is removed from your premises.
A cleaning fee is required if the Unit is not collected in the manner in which it was delivered.
Q. Is level ground required when positioning the bathroom on site?
A: Essentially yes. The site needs to be 0˚ - 3˚ level for the Unit to function properly.
Q: Are the 240-volt Electrical leads safe outside?
A: All our 240-volt electrical leads and electrical equipment have been checked and tagged for safety.
Q: What is the maximum distance the portable bathroom can be from the service connections, i.e. water, sewer and power?
A: The portable bathroom can be up to 30 metres away from the water and power supply and 40 metres away from the sewer point.
Q: How do I know if the portable bathroom will fit in my property?
A: Please check the measurements of the bathroom on our Specifications page.
Q: Can we extend the hire period over extra days, weeks or months?
A: Yes, but you must contact Bathrooms for hire immediately with as much notice as possible to avoid the Unit being pre-booked by another customer. An extended hire period will generally not be a problem. A new pick up date will be arranged.
Q: Is the portable bathroom supplied with soap, toilet paper and other toiletry items?
A: Bathrooms4hire supply a complimentary roll of toilet paper and a quantity of soap is provided in our soap dispenser.
Q: Can the portable bathroom roll away?
A: No, the portable bathroom has its own breaking system.
Q: What should I do in the event of a waste pump failure?
A: Ensure the power is turned on. If the power is on, a sanitary product has probably caused the problem. Most problems can be solved over the phone by calling 0433 808 351as soon as a problem occurs. A service call may be required.
Q: How is payment made?
A: All payments are required prior to delivery and set-up of the Unit on your property. Payments can be made by E.F.T (Electronic Funds Transfer), Visa Card or by other arrangements.
Q: How much notice is required to book a portable bathroom?
A: It is advisable to book 2 – 3 weeks in advance, if possible.
Q: Do we sign a contract?
A: Yes, there is a standard contract between the hirer and the customer.
Q: Do we need to pay a bond?
A: Yes, a bond is required. See Terms and Conditions for details

Q: Does the portable toilet need to be connected to any water, power or waste?
A: The portable toilet does not need to be connected to power or waste, however, when you put the toilet into position you will need to put water into the holding tank. The holding tank holds approximately 110L. The portable toilet is then a fully self contained unit.
Q: Can I set up the portable toilet myself?
A: Yes, you can set up the portable toilet yourself, just tow it to the desired location and wind down the adjustable legs to secure the unit.
Q: Is the portable bathroom supplied with soap, toilet paper and other toiletry items?
A: Bathrooms4hire supply a complimentary roll of toilet paper and a quantity of soap is provided in our soap dispenser.
Q: Can the portable toilet roll away?
A: Once you have wound down the adjustable legs, place the supplied chocks behind the wheels to fully secure the unit.
Q: Do I have to empty the portable toilet waste?
A: For weekend hire, when you return the unit to the warehouse we will be responsible for emptying the waste. For longer term hire, you may need to arrange for a service call to pump out the waste tank.
Q: Is the portable toilet heavy to tow?
A: The unit is very easy to tow. You will need a tow bar with a 50mm ball and a standard 7pin plug. The unit when full has a combined weight of 750kg.
Q: What speed can I travel at when towing the portable bathroom?
A: No more than 80km per hour.
Q: How is payment to be made?
A: When you pick up the portable toilet on the supplied trailer, payment can be made by VISA card or EFT, after you have signed the rental contract.
Q: Is a bond required?
A: No bond is required, the only requirements are payment and signing the rental contract.
